Bronze Table

This beautiful and functional piece is a small but very solid coffee or end table with a glass top and lower shelf that adds another level of interest, as well as significant structural support. When I created this piece, I was most fascinated with creating the legs. It was my first venture creating repeatable shapes from heavy steel bar stock. The piece has been powder coated for a very rugged finish.

While the table is relatively small, it is also very heavy and makes extensive use of traditional joinery. Tal Harris, a much respected traditional blacksmith, served as an early mentor and inspired my interest in traditional joinery, used as a beautiful design element. Over time, the beauty of these joinery techniques have become important design element for my images and expression.
